Switching from WineDirect or Commerce7 to QUALO
Changing winery software is easier to manage when you agree on the data, test a sample and choose a clear cutover date. QUALO supports order-history imports from WineDirect and Commerce7, with customer records brought across through a customer import. Start with a review of your exports so the team can confirm what will transfer and what needs additional setup.

Keep the winery running while you plan the move
Your tasting room, wine club, online shop and wholesale accounts each have different requirements. Map the workflows you use today before deciding on a launch date. QUALO connects tasting room POS, inventory, club releases, online sales and reservations, and cellar production. Choose the modules your team needs.
A practical migration checklist
- List what you need to keep. Include customers, order history, wines and vintages, stock by location, club memberships, outstanding orders, gift-card balances and reservations. Confirm each item’s migration method separately.
- Review an export together. Check column names, dates, customer identifiers, taxes, deposits, product SKUs and duplicate records. Share exports through a secure channel agreed with QUALO.
- Test a sample import. Match several customers and orders against the original records. Confirm totals, dates and product references before importing the full dataset.
- Prepare your selling channels. Set up tasting room buttons, member and trade pricing, shipping zones, your online shop, payment terminals and staff access. Run test sales and refunds.
- Rehearse a club release. Check membership, pickup and delivery preferences, available wine, member changes, declined-payment handling and packing lists.
- Agree on cutover and reconciliation. Choose when the old system stops taking new orders, export final changes, reconcile stock and open orders, and confirm who supports your team during launch.
What should you confirm before committing?
Ask for a written scope covering your source system, available exports, import fields, exceptions, training, responsibilities and launch timing. Existing customer records and order history do not mean every data type transfers automatically. Confirm club configuration, gift cards, subscriptions, historical reports, integrations and reservations individually.
Payment-card portability depends on the payment providers and their secure transfer process. Do not export or email card numbers. Confirm the process with QUALO and the providers before planning your first club charge.
Built for Canadian winery operations
QUALO is built in British Columbia and includes Canadian taxes and deposits, BC LDB and Alberta AGLC reporting, and QuickBooks Online sync. See the Canadian features and modules and pricing. A licence includes unlimited users, initial training and two hours of training each month.
Questions about switching
Can QUALO import WineDirect or Commerce7 order history?
Yes. QUALO supports order-history imports from both, and customer records use a customer import. Have the team review your actual exports to confirm field coverage and any exceptions.
How long will the switch take?
The timeline depends on data quality, the modules you choose and the workflows you need to test. Agree on milestones after the export review rather than assuming a fixed number of days.
Can we see our own workflows before switching?
Ask for a walkthrough covering a tasting room sale, a club release, a wholesale invoice and a stock reconciliation. Bring your questions and sample export structure to the demo.
